The Foundation will support processes, efforts, and programs of ministries that engage people in furthering their education and continued learning opportunities, enabling them to become of greater service in meeting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of people.  Grants to Concordia University Nebraska, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, MO, and Midland University will receive favorable priority. Lutheran High Schools in Nebraska are the only High Schools that are eligible to apply for grants and Lutheran grade schools, with the exception of Trinity Lutheran School, Fremont, NE are not eligible to apply for grants.

The Foundation does not award grants to individuals.

GRANT CYCLES

The Foundation Board meets twice annually – in May and October.  All accepted and complete Grant Applications that have arrived or are post-marked no later than March 31st will be considered at the Foundation’s May Board meeting and applicants will be notified by or before the end of June.  All accepted and complete Grant Applications that have arrived or are post-marked no later than August 31st will be considered at the Foundation’s October Board meeting and applicants will be notified by or before the end of November.

Ministries and organizations are encouraged to complete and send Grant Request Applications as soon as they are completed and ready to submit, regardless of the Grant Cycles closing dates of March 31 and August 31.  All applications are listed by the date applications are received in the Rupert Dunklau Foundation Office and will appear on the Board docket in the order of date received.
